Space Center Houston has partnered with JRA on several missions designed to inspire wonder and spark a new interest in space science. Our first successful launch together was the award-winning Independence Plaza, the only place on earth where you can see a shuttle mounted to the original NASA 905 shuttle carrier aircraft and discover the intricate workings of both. Our next mission took us all the way to Mars! The “Mission Mars” exhibit sends guests on a journey into the future with an opportunity to peer inside an Orion spacecraft model, stand next to a giant model rocket and walk on a virtual Mars landscape. Some of the greatest questions of the universe are answered in these engaging, interactive looks at deep space exploration.
