Children’s Museum of Atlanta
FORGING NEW CONNECTIONS WITH KIDS’ DAILY LIVES
Wanting to appeal to older age groups, increase attendance and deepen their teaching of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), the Children’s Museum of Atlanta set out on an $8.9 million renovation. JRA led this effort, upgrading the museum’s most popular exhibits and creating new ones on literacy, culture, geography and more. These new exhibits emphasize meaningful connections between school, home, work and global issues, encouraging children to be stewards of their world. Since the renovation, attendance has increased by over 60,000 visitors per year.
